RealtyUSA has expanded again, buying a small real estate brokerage in the Utica-Rome area to enhance its Central New York presence.
The Williamsville-based firm, the largest independent real estate agency in the state, said it acquired Assist 2 Sell Seller’s & Buyer’s 1st Choice Realty in New Hartford, gaining an office and its staff.
The agency was founded by the late Joseph Hamlin, a third-generation Realtor and former owner of Hamlin & Scott Real Estate, whose wife, Mary Hamlin-Sunderman, became broker/owner in 2007. She will remain licensed and will continue in her role, along with the agency’s associate broker and office manager, Lisa Kowalczyk.
RealtyUSA, ranked No. 6 among the largest independent brokers nationwide by Real Trends, has 54 offices and more than 1,900 agents, serving the Buffalo, Rochester, Syracuse, Binghamton, Albany and Montrose, Pa., markets.
